Frequently asked Questions
Why are you motivated to enter the profession of animation?
My name is Juliette Fernandez and my goal is to become a professional animator so I can create films/ television shows and share the hope and love that I put into my work. I want to make people smile and bring them happiness and I believe the best way to do this is for me to put my skills as an artist to work. Creating works of art is my passion, this passion is the drive that keeps me motivated every day. It’s the force that keeps me studying in the computer labs for hours on end, that keeps me working long shifts at part-time jobs so I can raise funds, and keeps me drawing every day just so I know that I will live my life doing what I love.
To dive into my personal life, I’ll say that I didn’t have the most pleasant childhood. Some days were harder than others due to either poverty, domestic violence, and the stress of living in a bad situation. However, there was always one constant that I would rely on, and that constant was animation. No matter what kind of day I was having; I knew that I had something positive and uplifting to look forward to. The story on screen made me feel happy despite my world crumbling and burning around me and I want to do the same for others. I simply want to create something that would inspire them, push them forward, and tell them that life is going to be better than they could ever imagine. I want to be able to breathe life into my creations and bring that same happiness to somebody that needs it. There are so many stories out there to be told and I want to be the person to tell them.
